Josie was born and raised in the woods of traditional Quinnipiac territory - just outside Greenwich, Connecticut - spending more time with trees than humans, and eating way too much soil. Soils, forests and vital farm ecosystems taught her to be a passionate synergy-spotter, a network weaver, and a believer in law's capacity to build infrastructure of collective intelligence and generate abundance. Josie passed the Bar Exam with a high enough score to be licensed in any state. She is licensed in Vermont.
Josies favorite books as a teenager included Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth and Critical Path. Josies favorite books as a teenager included Operating Manual for Spaceship Earth and Critical Path. She earned her bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Economics & Political Science at Tufts University (2018), an environment in which highly-encouraged interdisciplinarity fueled her belief in Buckminster Fuller's silo-busting teachings towards creating conditions of universal anthroecological vitality. She worked to weave across silos in food system development at the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, and concluded that local governance was the realm more deeply calling for this methodology of reform. Moving home to the Northeast led her to found the Northeast Healthy Soil Network, then attend Vermont Law School and Yale. She explored modes of governance according to ecological principles through a JD and Masters of Equity & Climate Resilience Development program, graduating in May, 2024.

individuals and communities can access their collective wisdom and co-create game changing solutions. It is a process designed and being prototyped to dramatically improve the living conditions of participant communities. More to come!
The Network of Northeastern farmers and AgriFood minds that I founded in 2019 is still myceliating strong. More information can be found here: https://sites.tufts.edu/gdae/conferences-panels-and-events/
Many amazing minds entered my field during my time at Yale; in mid-layer food system infrastructure development, biomaterial cultivation, federal grant financing strategies, and emergent bioregional economy weaving. More updates to come on what project is emerging from this assemblage!
