Kinship Earth Flow Fund

The Kinship Earth Flow Fund is a new flow fund experiment. It is cultivating a Northeast bioregional project ecosystem through a flow funding methodology, as was innovated by Marion Rockefellar Weber. Mycelial Law is working with them as they develop their flow funder agreements and PGM, and Josie is serving on their Board of Advisors. 

The Medicine Wheel Society

I am part of an organization of allies to the Lakota Afraid of Bear Tiospaye and Mohawk Cook family, which the Taino elder Jose Barreiro married into. They are engaging in deep listening to the teachings of Indian Roots of American Democracy, Jose Barreiro's publication on the indigenous democratic governance systems of Dawnland - the Northeast. The Design School for Regenerating Earth

Josie is a member of the Design School for Regenerating Earth, a space for learning with Joe & Penny Brewer and a huge community of bioregioning humans - who are working to coordinate watershed-scale regenerative projects to render their bioregion more materially sovereign and culturally vital. 

Plant Kinship Earth Listening Centers with Kyra Kristoff

Founder of Forest Kitchen and tender to numerous other earth listening projects in the Connecticut River Valley, in Franklin County MA. We are developing an organizational entity that can be co-governed by many human and non-human beings, utilizing most recent developments in more-than-human rights and relational contracting. 

Dawnlands Bioregioning Colalborative / Alliance for the Mystic River Waters

Participating in the Dawnlands Bioregioning Collaborative is facilitating collaboration with various water guardian networks. First is the Mystic River Watershed Alliance -  an Alliance between Tribal Nations and towns within the Mystic River watershed acting as effective water guardians, exercising collective governance. Second is the Western Massachussetts Rights of Nature collective and Hyperbeings project led. by Will Szal. Stay tuned for potential resulting Rights of Nature "Eart legal work

Earth Law Center's Earth Jurisprudence Guidelines

Earth Law Center aspires to shift status quo legal practice in the areas of Corporate, Property, Financial, Constitutional law and beyond by integrating earth jurisprudence principles - respectively, Nature Governance, Reciprocity to Land & Water/ Self-Ownership, Rights of Nature and Bioregional Finance. 

Seeding Change

Seeding Change creates ecosystems of communities, businesses and investors to finance place-based regenerative reform projects. As part of this, Seeding change is working with Mindahi Bastida, Otomi-Toltec timekeeper, and Juan Carlos Kaiten, apprentice to Barbara Marx Hubbard, on integrating BioCultural Indicators into a bioregional governance dashboard. 

The BioFi Project

A collective supporting bioregions to design, build, and implement Bioregional Financing Facilities that connect financial resources and regenerators. Bioregional governance in accordance with ecological principles will only be possible with corresponding public-good-finance mechanisms (A "shadow public sector finance" system if you will). As Wendell Berry and so many others understand, a society that tends to regenerative agriculture and food sovereignty will be capable of Earth Jurisprudence. This paper series provides an astonishing foundation of references to be used as we advocate for the law, policy and social organizational change that will be needed to manifest regional, resilient food systems. Conservation Districts as Banks

This is an emergent project collaboration between Jennifer Byrne and Katharina Pistors team. 


Jennifer Byrne is the NE regional champion of Soil and Water Conservation District programming and technical assistance. The level of government that will allow U.S. society to manifest climate resilience goals.
